Accommodations
These are the hotels which have been recommended for visitors to the University Center due to their proximity to the University Center Conference Chicago. See the Area Amenities page for a map of the area surrounding the University Center. Like most large cities, staying in the heart of the city is more expensive, with accomodations becoming cheaper the further out you stay. Chicago has a great public transportation system, and there is also plenty of parking near the University Center.
Recommended Group Rate Hotel
Through the efforts of the Lasso Community, arrangements have been made for a group rate at the Hotel Blake for the duration of the Lasso Developer Conference in Chicago.
The negotiated rate is $199/night for single or double occupancy, plus applicable taxes and fees. Reservations may be booked using a major credit card. The first night will be charged upon reservation, with the balance being charged upon check-out.

There are a limited number of rooms available. Once sold out, you may still be able to receive the LDC group rate if additional rooms are available at the hotel, and you reserve and pay for the room by the cut-off date of August 15, 2008. However, the hotel can not guarantee availability beyond the initial blocked rooms. At past events, rooms have sold out before the cut-off date. Be sure to book your reservation as early as possible to take advantage of this discounted rate.

Room rates are quoted exclusive of applicable state and local taxes (which are currently 15.4%) or applicable service, or hotel specific fees in effect at the Hotel at the time of the meeting.
Reservation Method
Reservations will be made by individual call in. All Reservations must be made by the cut-off date of August 15, 2008. Any reservations not made by the cut off date will be taken on an individual basis and will depend on hotel availability.
