Bounce addresses are accounts used exclusively by the system to collect failed email sends as reported by destination SMTP servers. The system periodically checks these POP3 accounts and records bounces for processing "global unsubscribes". If a "hard" bounce is detected (address does not exist or delivery was explicitly blocked), the member will be marked as inactive and no further email will be sent to the member's address.
Note that these accounts must be dedicated to receiving bounces and not be in use for anything else, as all messages will be removed after being read.
Enter as many accounts as are required. Only active accounts will be monitored by LassoMailer.
To add a new account, click the "Add new bounce address" button at the foot of the list view.
Enter the display name, email address, server name and login name. Only complete the password field if this is to be changed.
If the status is "inactive" then the account will not be checked regularly for new messages, and will not show up in the list of available addresses in the Campaign Wizard.
