Since its very beginning, the philosophy behind Lasso has included engaging the developers that use the language and inviting their input to determine the future direction of the platform.
What follows below is a live development path as voted by our Certified Lasso Developer community. Each registered CLD receives a single vote towards the Lasso component they would like to see developed next. This list outlines the development queue in order of popularity along with a short description and an estimated delivery time.
Our development team concentrates on the item at the top of the list. Once completed, we move on to the next item and the votes accumulated for the completed project are given back to their respective CLDs to assign where they see fit.
Take the CLD Test and subscribe to become a Certified Lasso Developer member to make your Vote count.
If you then join as a Lasso Development Partner you get double the Votes from just CLD level level. A Lasso Patron can also choose to generically vote, or to contribute directly to fund a given workstream.
Each Membership is giving You a voice. You help determine the future delivery of Lasso!
The highest priorities are at the top.
Note: In some cases, seemingly separate development requests may be linked together because they are logistically connected. It’s somewhat similar to changing the tires on a car. It doesn't make sense to change one tire at a time. While it’s up on the hoist, address both the front or rear tires to ensure optimal performance and maximize efficiency. We’re attempting to do the same as we prioritize the requested developments to Lasso.
A robust standalone step thru debugger process would be a significant enhancement to the Lasso toolset and make it easier for new developer adoption.
